SELEUKID KINGS. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 17.08 g, 10 h), in the types of Alexander the Great. Seleukeia in Pieria, circa 300 or shortly thereafter. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and Nike standing right in his right; to left, monogram; below throne, KP. SC 29.1b. WSM 893. Fresh and attractive. Partially toned, otherwise, extremely fine.
